Swarms of elementary schoolers decked out in brightly colored gear represented their schools Saturday in Los Altos School District’s 60th Junior Olympics at Los Altos High.

Through the Junior Olympics, fourth, fifth and sixth graders from all seven district elementary schools — Almond, Covington, Gardener Bullis, Loyola, Oak, Santa Rita and Springer — competed in various track and field events. 

Events ranged from relays, hurdles and sprints to less traditional ones, like jump rope, basketball free throw and softball throw.
