Bomb threat found in a Palo Alto middle school bathroom

The Palo Alto Police Department is investigating a bomb threat written on a bathroom stall at Jane Lathrop Stanford Middle School, the Palo Alto Police Department and Palo Alto Unified School District said in press releases today.

A student reported the message this morning to a JLS faculty member, who then called the police. The police are now actively working with the school administration to investigate the threat and identify the person responsible for leaving the message, the press release stated.

Police will be on the JLS campus on Wednesday to ensure student and staff safety, the department said.

PAUSD and the police department ask those with additional information about the threat to immediately share details with school staff or directly with law enforcement by calling (650) 329-2413.
