PHOTOS: Los Altos High’s Broken Box performs “Curse of the Bard”

Los Altos High School’s Broken Box Theatre Company presented “Curse of the Bard,” a 75-minute farcical play-about-a-play, last weekend.

The show follows teacher Peggy Donahue’s attempts to direct a cursed production of Romeo and Juliet at Hilltop High — the very same school where she performed Shakespeare’s Scottish play 20 years earlier, cursing the theater. Just about everything goes wrong, from broken legs to falling balconies, leading the crew to go ahead with a highly improvised and completely original rendition of the play.

Here’s the show, captured by our photographer.
