Mountain View High’s boys soccer team defeated Los Altos 1-0 in the last league game to claim an outright SCVAL De Anza championship.

The two teams entered the game with Mountain View in first place, and Los Altos in second, trailing by three points. A single goal scored by Mountain View midfielder Niko Dekovic was the difference, as the Spartans held Los Altos to zero goals.

Both teams will qualify for CCS, with the first games of the tournament starting this Saturday, the 22nd. The Spartans look to win their second CCS title in three years, while the Eagles look to win their first in school history.
