Loving the Land: Habitat Restoration and Walk

If you enjoy spending time out in nature, a one-mile habitat restoration hike might be for you at the Windy Hill Preserve on Valentine’s Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. In the morning you’ll spend time pulling French broom, a common invasive plant in the Hawthorns area, followed by a walk around the area’s century old mansion to learn about its local history.

Sign-ups are required and are almost full! Find the information you need here.

Craft Love Bugs at the Mitchell Park Library

If you’re spending time with children or looking for something to do with younger siblings, check out the Family Craft event at Mitchell Park Library in Palo Alto! Here you can dabble in some arts and crafts by creating cute little bugs using googly eyes, pom-poms and pipe cleaners for gifting.

The event is on Valentine’s Day from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Mitchell Park Library’s Midtown Room. Sign-ups are not required but recommended for updates and a reminder for the event.
