Paly Girls Lacrosse defeats Gunn in Overtime

Palo Alto girls lacrosse beat cross-town rival Gunn 9–8 in overtime on April 22, with senior captain Natalie Dymmel scoring the game-winner to seal it.

It’s Paly’s first win over Gunn since 2023, after losing every matchup in that stretch. The rivalry record since then is still 7–1 in favor of Gunn. The two teams also met earlier this season on March 20, when Gunn won in overtime.

With the win, Paly moves to 10–3 overall and 8–1 in SCVAL, taking over first place in the league. Gunn drops to 8–2 in the league and second in the standings. Paly has five games left this season, while Gunn only has two remaining.
