Gunn defeated Live Oak, 8–7, on May 12 in a first-round playoff game in the Division II bracket of the 2026 CIF Central Coast Section Girls’ Lacrosse Championships. As the No. 4 seed, Gunn advanced to the second round, eliminating No. 5 seed Live Oak from the postseason.
A major contributor for the Titans was junior No. 22 Trinity Smith, who scored two goals.
Gunn will face crosstown rival and No. 1 seed Palo Alto in the second round at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Palo Alto High School, with the winner advancing to the championship game.
